We can focus our thoughts. We can set our minds. We don’t have to just think about whatever falls into our minds. We can capture and submit our thoughts to the Word of God and the authority of our Champion – Jesus!

The Mind is a Battlefield - A key discipline of spiritual warfare is to capture our thoughts and submit them to God's Word!

Key Verse:
Colossians 3:2 - Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

 1. We must learn to “SET OUR MINDS”.

·   Romans 8:5 - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

 2. We must take our thoughts captive and submit them to Christ.

·  2 Corinthians 10:5 - We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

3. We are changed by capturing our thoughts and renewing our minds in Jesus.

·  Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Challenge: filter every thought through the following lens from Philippians 4:8:

·  8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
